Chief Ambassador Dr. Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, affectionately known as "De Guv'nor," is a celebrated Nigerian filmmaker, cultural activist, and educator whose career spans over three decades. He has directed and produced more than 150 films, including iconic titles like Issakaba, Invasion 1897, and Bent Arrows, using storytelling as a powerful tool to preserve African history and challenge social injustice.
A fierce advocate for culture and youth empowerment, he founded the Benin Film Academy and launched the International Student Film Festival, mentoring a new generation of African storytellers. His lifelong commitment to shaping the narrative of Africa makes him a vital voice on the Advisory Panel of African People's Records.
